How to Back Up Your maimai DX Scores with the 水鱼/落雪 Score Trackers

How on earth did you people turn an arcade rhythm game into network attack and defense#

First, the hard requirement: you need to have synced data to these two trackers before, and I think most people meet that condition

Don’t trust obscure bots of unknown origin

If your tracker account was synced after you clocked out, then you don’t need to sync again at all

If one or two scores weren’t synced, that’s fine. If your account gets messed with, you can upload them by hand when restoring the backup. If it doesn’t get destroyed, you’re lucky — congratulations

Correcting some incorrect content:
If you can’t log in to 水鱼, that’s fine — as long as you don’t sync your scores to the 水鱼 tracker in the meantime, your account is clean, unless the cheaters go and take down the 水鱼 servers too

Don’t panic, sit back and relax; worst case just go to sleep (, backing up 水鱼 the next morning is not too late. Just don’t sync scores to 水鱼 in the meantime, and your 水鱼 account is safe, your scores are safe

If you’re really uneasy, you can click the refresh button next to the token in your profile; that way all previously bound bots lose access to your 水鱼 account. That’s up to you — in theory it’s a bit safer, it’s just that the bots will need to be bound again

1. What if I find my play records have already been scraped
   First, don’t sync your 水鱼 scores. Go straight to the 水鱼 website and back up your data — the backup here is very likely clean, if you haven’t synced

2. The 水鱼 page won’t open
   That’s because lots of people are rushing to back up, and someone may be attacking the 水鱼 servers — that’s unclear for now. I suggest not syncing 水鱼 scores in the meantime; losing one or two unsynced scores doesn’t matter. Sit back and relax, wait a while, and you’ll probably get in

3. What if I insist on clicking the QR code to sync the tracker
   It’s not impossible, but the risk is extremely high. Before you click the QR code, back up your data once; that guarantees you have at least one safe backup to fall back on. Then click the QR code to sync the tracker — that satisfies your rebellious needs and guarantees you have a usable backup

What can a backup do

Here we need to distinguish game account data from tracker data

• Game account data is the play scores you see in 舞萌 net every time after you play; when you play, you use your 舞萌 net game account, not your tracker account
• Tracker data is what you get by manually syncing your account data to the tracker, which provides score lookup and other features for bots. You can roughly treat the song data in the tracker as the song data in your account, but updating it requires you to sync manually each time. There’s lag, but it also guarantees that after your game account is destroyed, you can restore it from the 水鱼 backup
• A backup is a copy of your tracker data, stored on your phone/computer. If your account gets destroyed, you can use this backup to restore the scores your account originally had

1. 水鱼查分器#

Log in to the 水鱼查分器, click the 导出为 CSV button at the bottom, select UTF-8, and export — your browser will download it automatically. Open it with a text editor and you can see your scores.

2. 落雪查分器#

Log in to 落雪咖啡屋, open the menu on the left, select 成绩管理, click 备份成绩, and choose export. Your browser will start downloading automatically, and you can open it with a text editor.

3. Some Things to Pay Attention To#

1. Simply not scanning the QR code no longer seems to stop account scraping; backing up your scores is currently the most effective worst-case plan

2. I don’t recommend using various obscure bots of unknown origin; that’s exactly why I only listed the two mainstream trackers here. They’re easy to use and have built up a certain authority and credibility, so for backing up data on the Chinese server, these two mainstream trackers are absolutely the best choice

3. About 0010: if cheaters send your account something that doesn’t exist on the cabinet, it’ll blow up — for example, sending you next version’s 旅行伙伴 in advance, and when you play, the cabinet doesn’t have that version’s assets, so it blows up. That’s how it is in most cases, though there are other cases too
